$LAPTOP Launches. Then Crashes.

What’s going on:

Hunter Biden’s $LAPTOP token went live today on Base with a 1 billion supply and immediately repriced in public.

Thin DEX liquidity printed a phantom open near $200 to $300, then the price fell about 98% toward the low single dollars within the first hour.

Volume ran in the millions while two fresh wallets claimed free allocations and sold roughly $600,000. One whale bought near the open and booked about $1 million on the way down.

Founders including Biden hold 30%, locked six months and vesting over two years.

Another 20% is an airdrop, including his Substack subscribers and wallets that lost money on $TRUMP.

A further 30% sits in a burn-or-charity bucket tied to 30 public events.

What it means:

The market keeps using the same trap and people still walk into it every time.

Hunter Biden FUD'd $TRUMP, said nearly 1M wallets lost around $3.8B, then sold $LAPTOP as the opposite: community, airdrops, burns, charity, even a bag for people who already got wrecked.

A lot of buyers were not looking at the valuation. They were thinking they missed $TRUMP and they were not going to miss this one too.

$LAPTOP is down more than 100x from the top. Famous tweets and a good story are not an entry.

SOL Weekly EMA200 Play

What’s going on:

SOL is at $103. The 1W EMA200 is at $109. This week tagged $107 and failed. No weekly close above the line yet.

Price has been below that EMA for most of 2026. Structure is still bearish.

Key levels we’re watching:

  • Support: $100–$102

  • Resistance: $109 (1W EMA200)

  • Breakout target: $134+ after multiple weekly closes above $109

  • Invalidation: weekly close back below the EMA200, or a loss of $95–$100

Directional Bias: Neutral

What we’re waiting for:

  • Multiple weekly closes above $109

  • Spot only after that confirmation

  • Cut if a weekly candle closes back below the EMA200

Wait for the weekly trend to flip. Until then, stay out.

Circle Buys Tazapay for $400M

What’s going on:

Circle agreed to acquire Singapore payments firm Tazapay for $400M in stock, its first large deal since the 2025 IPO.

Tazapay runs more than $25B in annualized volume across 100-plus markets and 60-plus banking partners. About 60% of that flow already settles in stablecoins. C

lose is slated for 2027 and needs Monetary Authority of Singapore approval.

Circle is buying last-mile fiat rails so USDC can leave the chain and land in a local bank account.

What it means:

Issuers that only mint dollars lose to issuers that can pay salaries in Jakarta and invoices in São Paulo.

The honest risk is execution. A 2027 close, equity as currency, and a licensing map that still has holes.

If the rails work, USDC stops being a trading chip and starts being settlement.

HYPE:
Open interest near $14.3 billion after HYPE printed an ATH around $89.60 on Sept. 6.

TRX:
Canary’s staked TRON ETF lists in the U.S. today under ticker TRXS.

SOL:
Transaction V1 hits mainnet today, lifting max tx size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096.

On one side, a political memecoin printed a fake nine-figure open and then died in an hour.

On the other, Circle spent $400M of stock to buy actual payout rails, Visa’s stablecoin settlement run rate crossed $20B, and Block joined the OCC charter line for bitcoin and stablecoin custody.

Bitcoin is still wrestling the $80,000 handle while crude sits near $100 and Fed hike odds stay elevated.

That is the tax on risk assets this week.
