DTCC Puts Real Stocks Onchain
PLUS: Fed Holds Rates. Crypto Waits.

Welcome back to The Warmup.
Happy FOMC day!

Here’s what we’re watching:
Market Snapshot
DTCC Puts Real Stocks Onchain
NEAR Triangle Setup
Fed Holds Rates. Crypto Waits.

Market: Crypto is mixed, equities are mostly green, and falling volatility points to a cautiously positive risk mood.

DTCC Puts Real Stocks Onchain

What’s going on:
The DTCC, which settles most U.S. stock trades, launched its Tokenization Service. Banks and brokers can now tokenize selected stocks, ETFs, and U.S. Treasuries held in its system.
The launch covers 34 securities worth roughly $30 trillion, with 20 participants signed up, including JPMorgan, Citi, Fidelity, and Morgan Stanley.
What it means:
Wall Street is starting to bring real securities onchain, opening the door to faster transfers and new uses for collateral. Access is still limited, but this is a meaningful step toward bringing traditional markets onto blockchain rails.
The takeaway: real-world asset tokenization is moving beyond pilots and into mainstream financial infrastructure.

NEAR Triangle Setup

What’s going on:
NEAR’s market cap surged from around $2B to over $7B before entering a consolidation triangle. Price is now sitting near the lower trendline at $6.05B, where buyers need to step in to keep the structure intact.
Key levels we’re watching:
Resistance: $6.28B → first level to reclaim
Major resistance: $6.89B–$7.29B → upper triangle boundary
Support: $5.95B–$6.05B → current trendline support
Breakdown target: $5.28B if support fails
Directional Bias: Neutral, leaning bearish below $6.28B
NEAR is testing the bottom of its consolidation range after a strong rally. A breakdown could trigger further downside, while a bounce could send price back toward the upper trendline.
What we’re waiting for:
A clean bounce from the $6B area
A reclaim of $6.28B to strengthen the bullish case
A daily close below the lower trendline to confirm breakdown risk
NEAR is at a key decision point. The next move around $6B could determine whether this is healthy consolidation or the start of a deeper pullback.

Fed Holds Rates. Crypto Waits.

What’s going on:
The Fed is expected to keep rates at 3.75–4.00%, with markets already pricing in a pause. Bitcoin is hovering near $81,000, while ETH trades around $2,350.
The real focus is Chair Kevin Warsh’s press conference and whether he signals another hike in December.
What it means:
The rate decision may be a non-event, but the Fed’s tone could still move markets. When everyone expects the same outcome, the surprise matters more than the headline.
A hawkish message could pressure crypto, so don’t mistake a quiet reaction for a clear direction.

The macro backdrop should have weighed on crypto this week: a Fed rate hike, Treasury yields near 5%, and mixed institutional flows. Yet Bitcoin is holding near $81,000, with the broader market slightly green.
Meanwhile, the bigger changes keep moving forward. The DTCC is bringing real securities onchain, Ripple is advancing its banking ambitions, and traditional banks are exploring onchain settlement and collateral.
Short-term price moves can reverse quickly. The infrastructure being built behind the scenes takes much longer to develop. Don’t confuse a relief rally with a confirmed trend, and size positions so you can weather the macro noise.
